Introduction to American Politics

Introduction to American Politics is an introductory-level course that introduces college students of all ages to the study of the United States’ government and voters. My focus with this class is to teach a wide variety of students, not necessarily just political science majors minors, about how to be informed voters. I place strong emphasis on current events and critical thinking.

Public Administration

Public Administration is a course intended for political science majors and minors. My goal with this course is to encourage students to begin thinking about how government programs and policies are actually implemented. Accordingly, students spend most of the class thinking about the human capital behind policy implementation, and how the larger political context interacts with the motivations and day-to-day responsibilities of individuals in the public sector workforce.
